Friday: El Paso 3 @ Shreveport 5 – Garrett Steele potted a pair of goals as the Shreveport Mudbugs knocked off the El Paso Rhinos 5-3. Austin Brimmer netted a goal and assist while Ryan Williams and Burke Simpson also scored in the win. Jonathan Horn, Nick Turek and Connor McGrath all found the back of the net for the Rhinos. Devon Bobak picked up the win in between the pipes as he made 25 saves on 28 shots. Lassi Lehti was given the loss despite making 33 shots.
Saturday: El Paso 0 @ Shreveport 1 – Simon Bucheler earned his first NAHL shutout as he stopped all 25 shots he faced as the Mudbugs beat the Rhinos 1-0. Garrett Steele logged the only goal of the game with some help from Logan Valkama. Lassi Lehti was sensational on the other end, allowing just one goal on 38 shots.
