Rhinos now look to OKC for Next Round of Playoffs

Mar 14, 2016

After making short work of the Tulsa Oilers at home this last weekend, the El Paso Rhinos now cast their gaze eastward, as they take on the familiar foes out of Oklahoma City, the Blazers, on their road to the Thorne Cup.

Our Rhinos bested the Oilers 5-3 and 4-3 en route to their sweep of the Tulsa team on Friday and Saturday. With just under a week to prepare, the Rhinos looked to be in top form on the ice during this last weekend’s contests.
As far as the regular season against the Blazers, the Horned Warriors won one of three during the last series against OKC back in February, in high-scoring affairs at the Sierra-Providence Center. The Rhinos were swept 3-0 the last time they made their way to the Blazers Ice Centre in OKC. For their part, the Blazers are coming off of a bye week as they head into the Division Semi-Finals.
All games will be held at the Blazers Ice Centre starting Friday, March 18th. Game 2 will be played on Saturday March 19th and game 3 – if necessary – on Sunday March 20th.
