Wisco Vets Re-sign

Aug 10, 2009

Wisconsin Veterans Trevor Erickson, Mike Bottcher, and Anthony Knuth have re-signed for another season as Rhinos.

This heads up a slew of signings that are up coming in the next few days.

Erickson, Bottcher and Knuth all came to the Rhinos last season, Knuth from the Wisconsin Mustangs (MNJHL), Bottcher and Erickson as rookies.

They will be counted on to expand on last seasons success and continue to show the work ethic that has made the Rhinos start to look to Wisconsin as a major recruiting ground.

“Wisconsin has the type of players we’re looking for, hard working, tough, fast, smart, and skilled, and those three are very representative of what Wisconsin kids are like.”
– Trevor Converse Director of Player Personnel

Erickson: “When Trevor plays with a chip on his shoulder he is very effective for us.  He played very well in the play-offs last season and we are looking for the same relentless aggressive pressure he had last season.”

Bottcher: “Mike is a very solid defensive defenseman. He is the guy we want on the ice when we are up by a goal in the last minutes of the game.”

Knuth: “Anthony had a tough season last year with injuries, when he did play, he sees the ice and makes very smart plays on both ends.  We are looking for Anthony to put some numbers up this season but also be sound on the defensive end.”

– Head Coach Cory Herman
