Adam Vay returns to El Paso

Sep 23, 2014

One of the best netminders in the League has returned to El Paso to play his final season of junior hockey. The 6’6 Hungarian goaltender had an impressive 2013-2014 season, helping the Rhinos hoist the Thorne Cup and the National Championship trophies. His 5 shutouts and .936 save percentage landed him at the top of the league during the regular season. With only two losses in 29 games played, Vay’s regular season goals against average was also the best in the league at 1.76. Throughout the playoffs, Vay was second only to his teammate and Thorne Cup and National Championship MVP, Bryce Fink.

After a summer of Mixed Martial Arts fighting and training, Vay is eager to take the ice in the Sun City in front of adoring fans.
