He’s Back

Sep 4, 2009

5 foot 7 inches tall isn’t your typical size for a defensman.  But for Josh Deloach it fits him just fine.

Josh Deloach came to the Rhinos from a Midget AAA team in Michigan last season without any of the coaching staff seeing him play.  He came on a recommendation from another player’s parent.

Now being a 5 foot 7 inch tall defenseman and coming to a hockey team on a wim, is a pretty big gamble to take.  However the El Paso coaching staff are glad he took that gamble.

Josh plays power play, he kills penalties , he plays in almost every situation.  “Josh sees the ice very well and plays very well positioning” said Coach Herman “he has very quick “east/west” speed.”

Josh’s tenacious style and his fearless play have given him the “fan favorite” status in what they call “Rhino Country”, and the fans here in El Paso are glad that the Florida native is back for another go around this season.
