Mar 28, 2022

The Rhinos are proud to announce Jonathan Horn’s commitment to play Division I hockey for the Air Force Academy!

In 53 games for the Rhinos, Horn has posted 17 goals and 23 assists for a total of 40 points. He is currently the Rhinos’ leader in goals, assists, and points. The Southbury, CT native was also selected to play at the 2022 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament where he notched one assist.

For Horn, deciding on the Air Force Academy was based on fit. He said, “The most important thing for me was trying to find the right fit. They checked all my boxes and I’m excited to be part of the Falcon family.”

Rhino Head Coach Anthony Bohn is happy to see Horn receive the opportunity to continue his hockey career with a great program. “Our organization is extremely proud and excited for Jonathan and his family on his commitment to Air Force,” Bohn said. “He is very dedicated to his craft every day and it’s nice to see him rewarded for it.”

Playing in the Atlantic Hockey Association, Air Force finished the 2021-22 season in sixth place league standings. The Falcons posted a record of 16 (W) – 17(L) – 3(T) and tallied 37 points, only four points shy of third place.

Horn is now one of three current Rhinos committed to play hockey in college. Jan Olenginski will play at St. Lawrence University and age-out Jacob Zacharewicz will lace up his skates at Brown University next season.
