New Rhino Justin Dueck

Aug 3, 2015

The El Paso Rhinos continue to bring in hard working players to help the team on the road to the Thorne Cup Finals in early 2016. The team has signed 5’10” forward Justin Dueck from Barrie, Ontario, Canada who has competed in Canadian junior hockey since 2012.

Not only is Dueck a scoring forward who has tallied 61 points in his junior hockey career, he is also a scrapper who refuses to back down from any challenge. Dueck comes into every game with a chip on his shoulder – almost in the Gavin Abbott mold – and is sure to be a fan favorite. In 116 games at the junior level, Dueck has racked up 497 penalty minutes while still putting the puck in the net 22 times.

Justin Dueck, who by all accounts is the consummate professional and team player, brings a wealth of experience to the ice of the Sierra Providence Events Center. He has even spent time at the highest level of junior hockey with the Sault Ste-Marie Greyhounds of the Ontario Hockey League, which has produced numerous NHL stars and Hall of Famers.

The Rhinos are excited to have Justin join the team and look forward to having him join the quest to bring the Thorne Cup back home to El Paso at the end of the 2015-16 season!
