Rhinos Fall to Wranglers

Game 1

The Amarillo Wranglers won their home game against the El Paso Rhinos on Friday, ending 5-1.

The hosting Wranglers started off strong and took the lead right after the puck drop with Ben Ivey scoring in the first minute, a goal assisted by Jack Ivey and Tommy Chunchukov.

The Rhinos tied the game 1-1 with a minute left into the first period when Luke Morris scored, assisted by Jacob Zwirecki and Nick Troutwine.

The Wranglers took the lead early in the second period when Jacob Halliday beat the goalie, assisted by Pierce Patterson and Rihards Simanovics.

Midway through, Blake Farrell scored a goal, assisted by Kyle Demarco and Preston Brighton, making the score 3-1.

The Wranglers increased the lead to 4-1 early into the third period when Tommy Chunchukov netted one, assisted by Chase Davis and Jack Ivey.

Chase Davis increased the lead to 5-1 late in the third, assisted by Zack Kent and Preston Brighton.

 

Game 2

The Amarillo Wranglers won at home on Saturday, handing the El Paso Rhinos a defeat 4-1.

The hosting team took the lead early into the first period, with a goal from CJ Zezima. Pierce Patterson and Jack McDonald assisted.

The Rhinos tied the game 1-1 late in the first when Tristan Kimmen scored, assisted by Cameron Dunn.

The Wranglers’ Roman Zap took the lead late in the first, assisted by Jack McDonald and CJ Zezima.

Chase Davis increased the lead to 3-1 early into the third period.

Ryan Gingher increased the lead to 4-1 late into the third assisted by Jase Sofo.
