Aug 10, 2008

“This is my favorite time of year, camps, scouting players; I’m on the phone 8 hours a day”

Look no further than the present signees to see the first fruits of his labor.

Defenseman

A native of Flint Michigan Josh played his last season with Toledo of the CSHL
Williams is a “stay at home” defenseman, who doesn’t shy away from the physical play.
Expected to come in and be one of the top 2 defenseman on this year’s team.
Williams will be a big help in shoring up a Rhinos defensive corps that only returns 1 player from last season.

“ As a player I want to advance, but I really want to win a National Championship that’s why I came here”

“Josh will eat up minutes this year for us as we are reloading our D core, he can play in all situations.”
“Josh has good size along with mobility, makes good outlet passes but his best attribute is defending 1 on 1”

Hailing from Tampa Florida John Scorcia comes to the Rhinos from the AAA Midget Oakland Jr. Grizzlies.
After playing 2 years at the AAA Midget level and posting impressive numbers this last season:

Goals 54
Assists 72
Points-126

John has decided to try the waters in Juniors in El Paso.

Spotted by Trevor Converse at the Topeka Roadrunners camp John is expected to bring that offensive power he showed at the AAA level.
John will undoubtedly give Rhino fans more of the offense they love to see.

“I’d really like to help win it (Thorne Cup) again, and hopefully move up with the goal of playing D-1”

“John will be a fan favorite, he plays with passion and enjoys going into the tough areas to score, he will contribute offensively.”
“Wherever he’s been he’s put up big numbers.”
