Rhinos Split Series with Warriors

Friday: Wichita Falls 8 @ El Paso 0 – Riley Brueck and Joseph Harguindeguy each tallied a hat trick as the Wichita Falls Warriors dominated the El Paso Rhinos 8-0 on Friday night. Dominick Rivelli and Ryan Robinson each had a goal and two helpers in the win for the Warriors. Brandon Milberg didn’t see a lot of action but stopped everything thrown his way as he ended the night with 21 save shutout. Jacob Zacharewicz and Lassi Lehti combined to stop 30 shots for El Paso.

 

Saturday: Wichita Falls 2 @ El Paso 5 – Rhinos goalie Jacob Zacharewicz made 53 saves to lead the Rhinos to a 5-2 win and weekend split against the Warriors. The Warriors lead 2-1 after two periods thanks to goals from Ryan Robinson and Riley Brueck, while Matt Johnson scored for El Paso. The Rhinos stormed back in the second half of the 3rd period, getting four goals in a six-minute span to win the game as Jonathan Horn, Jan Olenginski, Ian Carpenter, and Alex Krause all lit the lamp. Wichita Falls goalie Brandon Milberg made 26 saves in the loss.
