Dec 12, 2023

Friday: New Mexico Ice Wolves 1 @ El Paso Rhinos 5 – Ice Wolves are paying a visit to Rhino Country this week as we play host to the first of a three game series! Rhinos are first on the board tonight with Luke Lindsay taking a score at the 4:26 mark. Medrick Bolduc keeps the momentum going with a second goal in the closing minutes of the period and thanks to Joey LoVullo Ice Wolves are kept at bay. Rhinos keep the ball rolling as Bradley Walker takes a third goal just before the Ice Wolves clap back and put themselves on the board. Cade DeWolf ends the period with one more goal for the Rhinos and we’d be 4-1 moving into the third period.  With one final goal from AJ Reed, the Rhinos take Game #1 with a 5-1 lead.

Saturday: New Mexico Ice Wolves 3 @ El Paso Rhinos 4 – Rhinos aim for a second win tonight against the Ice Wolves as the puck drops on Game #2. Medrick Bolduc and Ryan Gingher both take a goal in the first period to set the Rhinos up with a 2-0 lead. Eddie Shepler and Gingher once more both take two more goals for the Rhinos to double their lead over the Ice Wolves before Graham Harris ends the scoreless streak for the Ice Wolves. Rhinos are up 4-1 moving into the third where New Mexico stages their final offensive. Jack Dalton cuts the Rhinos lead in half with a goal at just under 10 minutes followed by Yusaki Ando to bring the game within 1 point. Unfortunately for the Ice Wolves they’d be unable to take any more goals and the Rhinos take Game #2 with a 4-3 win.

Sunday: New Mexico Ice Wolves 1 @ El Paso Rhinos 5 – With one final game on the line the Rhinos aim for a complete sweep over the Ice Wolves tonight as we begin Game #3. El Paso takes the first period by storm with three goals from Mason LeBel, Camden Bajzer, & Frank Tafelski for a whopping 3-0 early game lead. As we head into the second period Bajzer and Tafelski both take another goal each for a 5-0 lead. New Mexico wouldn’t let it end scoreless though as Francois Devillers snags a last minute goal to put them on the board. Ultimately Rhinos would take a 5-1 win, sweeping the Ice Wolves in Game #3.
