Rhinos welcome the return of “Bad” Tad Norris

Feb 8, 2008

“Tad was the missing piece for us on defense, we needed to get a little deeper and Tad gives us depth as well as more offensive punch” said Coach Cory Herman   ” at this level you can’t have too many good defensmen, Tad is a complete player, who makes the other players around him better and the added leadership he brings, is just frosting on the cake”.

Norris was the Rhinos leading scorer last year in the playoffs and signed to play for The Kenai River Brown Bears (NAHL) this year.

After enduring a tough inaugural season for the expansion Brown Bears, Norris comes back to El Paso to finish off his Junior career in the place that saw him acheive his greatest success as Captain of the ’06-’07 Rhino team

“El Paso is obviously very close to me, It’s the place of my most memorable hockey moment (2007 Nationals)” said Norris. “Coach Herman is a great coach to play for and when the NAHL trade deadline passed and trade talks started with Tier III, I knew I only ever wanted to go one place. I’m excited to come back and end my Junior career as a Rhino, I have tons of memories there, it’s a great place to play” .
