Friday: El Paso Rhinos 0 @ Corpus Christi Ice Rays 1 – Good Evening Rhinos Fans! We’re back on the ice for the start of the 2026-2027 season with an away game as we travel on over to Corpus Christi for our first bout against the Ice Rays!
Logan Hughes is first up this year to show us what he’s got by holding down the fort in period 1. Scoreboard reads 0-0 as we head in to the second with both teams ready to reassess their strategies.
The pucks now dropped twice on Corpus Christi ice and the first break seems to have allowed both teams to switch gears. Michael Sandruck finds himself in position for the Ice Rays and takes the opportunity to score the first goal of the night with 10:39 left to go in the period. Rhinos trail behind 1-0 the Rays at the end of the second.
Unfortunately we were unable to bring it back and the game would end with Corpus Christi still out in front and first bout win goes to the Ice Rays.
