Returning home to Minnesota, Tom Bartel will join the NCAA DIII ranks as he joins the Hamline University roster for the 2014-2015 season.
The El Paso forward had a busy season as he posted 66 points during his only regular season with the Rhinos. His post-season performance was no less impressive as he notched 7 points at the National Tournament. “Tom has a great work on and off the ice, “Cory Herman notes. “His greatest asset is his speed. He was one of the fastest players in our league last year.”
With new head coach Cory Laylin, the program Bartel joins will look to improve last season’s disappointing record. Tom will also face off against former teammates Chris Wilhite, Chad Cesarz, Austin Hoff and Drew DePalma when the Pipers take on the Cardinals of St. Mary’s University in February.
