Wranglers & Rhinos split series 0-3 in Game 2

Feb 13, 2024

Friday: Amarillo Wranglers 4 @ El Paso Rhinos 1 – Wranglers pay the Rhinos a visit this weekend as we begin the first game of a two-game series! Joey LoVullo flexes his defensive prowess, preventing wranglers from scoring the entire first period. The first goal of the night wouldn’t be seen until the second period where the Wranglers’ Luke Morris puts them on the board at 2:49. Roman Zap raises this to 2, followed by Morris again for a Wranglers’ 3-0 at the end of the second. But Rhinos wouldn’t go down without at least taking one goal for themselves as Camden Bajzer earns a goal at just past 15 minutes into the third. Wranglers round out the score with one more before the game is out and take game 1 with a 4-1 lead over the Rhinos.

Saturday: Amarillo Wranglers 0 @ El Paso Rhinos 3 – Rhinos return to the ice for the second game with a vengeance! Eddie Shepler takes first blood today, scoring at 2:48 into the game. Goaltender Michael Manzi holds the Wranglers at bay and we move into the second period with a 1-0 Rhino lead. Tory Lund gives us our second goal of the night deep in the second period, and with no other scoring this period we head into the third. Medrick Bolduc puts the closing goal on this game for Goal #3 at just past 13 minutes. Rhinos take game #2 with a shutout victory, splitting the series with the Wranglers.
