Down 3-2 with just over a minute left, the Rhinos Timothy Avegard tied the game at 18:56 to give momentum to the hosts.
Keeping the pressure on, El Paso\’s forecheck yielded the puck in the Rampage zone, and from the blue line, Balko, rifled his shot past Tulsa goalie Michael Maczynski through a screen at 19:20.
Mid-West Division champs again, El Paso had earned its fourth straight division title last weekend against the Rampage with two last-minute comeback wins in Tulsa last Friday and Saturday.
The Rhinos and Tulsa with play twice more Saturday and Sunday.
